Description of Services:
Saint Vincent’s comprehensive cancer center provides an array of treatment modalities and cancer screenings (e.g., digital mammograms, virtual colonoscopies, and prostate cancer screenings) In addition, the cancer center is currently participating in cancer research trials in both medical and radiation oncology. Other cancer related support services offered include a teen smoke stoppers program, cancer support groups, individual counseling, palliative care and rehabilitative services as well as a cancer resource information library.

The Screening and Diagnostic Services Include: Office Visits, Screenings and Diagnostics, Mammograms, Breast Biopsies, Pap Tests, Surgical Consultations and Clinical Breast Exams. Support Group Information:
The SWIM Center for Cancer has two Breast Cancer Nurse Navigators who provide timely, supportive care and education to patients and their families facing the diagnosis of breast cancer. These specially trained nurses listen, comfort, educate, answer questions, and are a link to available support services. The nurse navigators are advocates who will be alongside you from the time of diagnosis through treatment, recovery and on to survivorship.
Reduced Cost Information:
To be eligible for free screening and diagnostic services women must be age 40 years or older, be underinsured or uninsured and be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Mammograms are available for younger women age 35-39 years of age with symptoms and/or specific risk factors for breast cancer. (Women age 19 years of age or older may qualify for Pap tests.)
