The Connecticut Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure offers grants of up to $50,000 to fund innovative
projects in the areas of breast health and breast cancer
education, outreach, screening, and treatment that support
services not otherwise available to the medically underserved
populations throughout Connecticut.
Grants are available for up to one (1) year.
We encourage interested parties to apply for a grant. If
you have any questions about the grant application process you
can contact the Grants Chairperson, Edie Thompson, at

Grant awards will be announced in March 2009.
DEADLINES AND FORMS
The
application and forms
needed to complete the grant process can be downloaded and
returned by mail or email.
The
deadline for applying is November 7, 2008.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Applications will be
accepted for any breast health or breast cancer screening,
treatment, education, or support project in the State of
Connecticut. However, projects that specifically address the
following
objectives will be given priority:
Projects
focusing on the education, screening and treatment support of:

Minorities
-
The disabled and persons with special
needs
-
Low income working Caucasian females
-
Persons over the age of 65
All requests for science research funding should be
addressed to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s Award and
Research Grant program. More information on research funding is

OPTIONAL GRANT WORKSHOP
In order to help potential grantees we are offering an optional
grant workshop at two different locations. These
workshops will provide you with an insight into our organization
and the needs in our service area and assist you in filling out
your application.
