THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS YEAR'S RACE

- ALL TEAM MEMBERS MUST PICK UP THEIR OWN T-SHIRTS
AND BIB NUMBERS AT BUSHNELL PARK EITHER ON FRIDAY JUNE 6th

FROM THE EAST - Take I-84 West to Exit 50, left at the 3rd light onto Trumbull St. - proceed to various parking lots - follow Trumbull to Bushnell Park
FROM THE WEST - Take I-84 to Exit 50, take a right at the 2nd light onto Main St. - take next right onto Church and next left onto Trumbull - proceed to various parking lots - follow Trumbull to Bushnell Park
FROM THE NORTH OR SOUTH - Take I-91 South or I-91 North to exit 29A (Capitol Area) and stay straight until you reach Bushnell Park.

Free parking will be available at State Office buildings and the State Capitol. Both are located on Capitol Avenue, on opposite sides of Washington Street. Additional parking can be found at various parking lots throughout downtown Hartford.
T-shirts and bib numbers may be picked up on June 6th
from 7AM to 6PM. Save time on race morning by picking these
items up early. They can also be picked up on June 7th (race morning) starting at 6:30AM.
Timing chips (runners only) can be picked up on June 7th starting at 6:30AM. Remember, without a timing chip, you will not receive an official time. Runners who do not return their timing chips after the race will be charged $30.

Provided by the AMTA Connecticut Sports Massage Team from 7:30–11:30AM on Race Day
Provided for all participants - please pick up your belongings by 11:45AM
Pets are not permitted on the course due to the large number of people and insurance issues. Strollers are permitted, but will be relegated to the back of the starting line for each event due to safety issues.

2008 Komen CT Race for the Cure®
Race Course Descriptions & Times
All events start near the corner of Trinity and Elm Streets and all finish on Trinity Street near the Arch in Bushnell Park. All courses have picturesque views of State Capitol Bushnell Park, the Bushnell Park Arch and Carousel.
Spectator friendly course loops around Bushnell Park before doing Summer St. loop. Course finishes with another loop around Bushnell Park before ending near the Bushnell Park Arch.
- Start with loop around Bushnell Park. Starts on Trinity St. near Elm St. North on Trinity. Right onto Jewell St. Follow Jewell around park and take right onto Elm St. Right onto Trinity.
- Summer St. loop: Left onto Asylum St. Significant hill after pass under the railroad underpass about 1.1 miles into race. Right onto Summer St. Right onto Collins St. Right onto Garden St. Garden St. is last hill approximately 1.6 miles into race. Right onto Cogswell. 2 mile mark is on Cosgwell about 70 yards before Asylum. Left onto Asylum. Steep downhill until railroad underpass.
- Ends with loop around Bushnell Park. Asylum becomes Jewell. Right onto Elm. Left onto Trinity. Finish near Arch.

This race is for children 5 years and under. Start is on Trinity St. near Elm St. and heading North on Trinity St. to finish near the Arch.
(approximately 7/10 of a mile)
This is one loop around Bushnell Park starting on Trinity St. near Elm St. Head North on Trinity St. Right onto Jewell St. Follow Jewell around park and take right onto Elm St. then right onto Trinity. Finishes near the Arch.
(2.5 miles)
Spectator friendly course starts with Summer St. loop. Course finishes with another loop around Bushnell Park before ending near the Bushnell Park Arch.
- Start with Summer St. loop: Start on Trinity St. near Elm St. Head North on Trinity. Left onto Asylum Ave. Significant hill after pass under the railroad underpass about .3 miles into walk. Right onto Summer St. Right onto Collins St. One mile mark is at corner of Summer and Collins. Right onto Garden St. Garden St. is last hill approximately 1.6 miles into race. Right onto Cogswell. Left onto Asylum. Steep downhill until railroad underpass.
- Ends with loop around Bushnell Park. Asylum becomes Jewell. 2 mile mark is shortly before corner of Trumbull St. and Jewell. Right onto Elm. Right onto Trinity. Finish near Arch.
This is one loop around Bushnell Park starting on Trinity St. near Elm St. Head North on Trinity St. Right onto Jewell St. Follow Jewell around park and take right onto Elm St. then right onto Trinity. Finishes near the Arch.
